CBB Injuries & Updates from Sun. January 10
On Sunday Eric Ayala did not play for Maryland due to a groin injury suffered last game. Yvan Ouedraogo was out for Nebraska for covid-related reasons, but teammate Derrick Walker made his season debut after serving an 11-game NCAA suspension. Cordell Pemsl (Virginia Tech) did not play with a back injury.
In injury updates, James Bouknight (UConn) is a gametime decision on Monday with his elbow injury. KK Robinson (Arkansas) had foot surgery and will miss the rest of the season.
In transfer news, Jaylen Butz (DePaul) and Sincere Carry (Duquesne) entered the portal, and Oscar Tshiebwe announced he would transfer from West Virginia to Kentucky.

On Saturday notable players not in action included Marcus Zegarowski (Creighton), James Bouknight (UConn), Nijel Pack (Kansas State), Steffon Mitchell (Boston College), and Brady Manek (Oklahoma). Duquesne saw Sincere Carry and Maceo Austin step away from the team indefinitely.
Returning to action after missing time were Braxton Beverly (NC State), Marcus Garrett (Kansas), Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe (Oklahoma State) and Geo Baker (Rutgers, injury last game).
Making their season debuts after injury were Akok Akok (UConn), Keion Brooks (Kentucky), and after becoming eligible Sharife Cooper (Auburn).
Notably sitting out again included Remy Martin (Arizona State), Jalen Johnson (Duke), Justin Powell (Auburn), Jahvon Quinerly (Alabama), Terrence Clarke (Kentucky), Matt Bradley (Cal), Chris Lykes (Miami), and Daejon Davis & Bryce Wills (Stanford).
Suffering in-game injuries were Jimmy Sotos (Ohio State) who left the game after injuring his shoulder in the 2nd half, and Noah Williams (Washington State) who left in the first half after taking a hard fall and did not return. In injury updates, Ben Stanley (Xavier) is out for the season with a torn ACL. Terrence Clarke (Kentucky) and Jahvon Quinerly (Alabama) are unlikely to play Saturday. Marcus Garrett (Kansas) is hopeful to play Saturday,
James Bouknight (UConn) is a GTD Saturday, and Andre Gustavson (Richmond) will remain out Saturday. Bryce Aiken (Seton Hall) will be out weeks with his ankle injury last game.

On Thursday Connor McCaffery (Iowa) started after an ankle injury last game, but Matt Bradley (Cal) and Bryce Wills (Stanford) did not play with knee injuries. Remy Martin (family funeral) & Jalen Graham (mono) were the most notable of four players out for Arizona State, while Armaan Franklin (Indiana) did not play because of an ankle injury.
Marvin Coleman did not suit up for UNLV (covid-related?), but Darryl Morsell (Maryland) returned to action after head surgery. Marcus Bagley (Arizona State) and Kendle Moore (Colorado State) also returned to action. Grant Anticevich was back in action for Cal after an appendectomy.
Suffering injuries on Thursday were Wyatt Lowell (BYU) with a non-contact left leg/ankle injury that took him out of the game, and Da’Monte Williams (Illinois) who went to the locker room with an apparent ankle injury but returned to the game.

CBB Injuries & Updates from Wed. January 6
On Wednesday Pitt and Virginia had players out due to covid-protocols, most notably Nike Sibande & Casey Morsell, and Bourama Sidibe (Syracuse) was not ready to return after knee surgery. Amongst players suffering injuries last game, Makai Ashton-Langford (Boston College) and Justin Powell (Auburn) sat out Wednesday, but Jaden Springer (Tennessee) was able to play.
Seton Hall’s Bryce Aiken suffered a sprained ankle after stepping on another player’s foot and was ruled out for the game. Ben Stanley (Xavier) left the game after an apparent knee injury and went to the locker room but did return to the sideline and gave a thumbs up to the coach, but did not re-enter the game.
Returning to action after missing time were Aaron Thompson (Butler) and Au’Diese Toney (Pitt). Remaining out included Jalen Johnson (Duke), Ryan Daly (St Joe’s), and Charles Minlend (Louisville).

Javian Davis (Miss State) did not play and will be out the next 10 days (covid-related).
For in-game injuries, James Bouknight (UConn) appeared to suffer an elbow injury on Tuesday, but was able to return to the game. Geo Baker (Rutgers) appeared to roll his ankle and went to the locker room near the end of the game.

Jonah Antonio (Wake Forest) returned to play after a hamstring injury and Musa Jallow (Ohio State) was back after contact tracing, but William Douglas (SMU) was out due to covid protocols.
