In WR & TE updates (other than transfer news), Jake Smith (Texas) will return for summer workouts after a foot injury at the start of spring and is expected to be ready for the fall, & Jalen Knox (Missouri) has left the team but does not yet appear to have formally entered the transfer portal.

Notables entering the transfer portal were WR Kaylon Geiger (Troy), WR Artie Henry (Marshall), & WR Broc Thompson (Marshall).

More high-profile players announcing transfer destinations were QB TJ Finley (LSU to Auburn), WR Camron Buckley (Texas A&M to Indiana), WR Allen Dailey (Kentucky to South Alabama), WR Charles Ross (Nevada to San Jose State), QB Theo Day (Michigan State to Northern Iowa), RB Kenyon Sims (Illinois to San Jose State), WR Dee Anderson (Oklahoma State to Alabama A&M), WR Broc Thompson (Marshall to Purdue), RB Kareem Walker (Miss State to South Alabama), WR Kaylon Geiger (Troy to Texas Tech), QB Allen Walters (Miss State to Arkansas State), QB AJ Aycock (LSU to Arkansas State), & WR Trevor Wilson (Buffalo to Kansas).

UCLA had a number of skill players sidelined/limited for their final spring practice/showcase on Thursday, but post-practice Chip Kelly said most guys were just nicked up or held out as precautionary who did not need the reps and he expected everyone to be full-go for fall.
